About the Building

C1989 The windows above ground level were replaced and two more added when the External walls were rebuilt.  The window positioning and style now match that of No 6 High Street. “New upper floor windows shall be of painted timber construction.  The window shall be of the same size and located within the wall thickness with the same external reveals as existing equivalent windows on No 6 High Street adjacent.” [Source: Planning permission “Re-building of Front Elevation Roof and External Walls with integration of New Structure” 30206 Alt Ref DC/1988/01584 approved 9/3/1989 Decision letter29/8/2009 paragraph 7]

From at least 2017 September: Pandora [Source: Google Street View Sept 2017 viewed 10/9/2025] In October 2015 Pandora submitted a planning application for replacement of shopfront. At this point the building was vacant. [Source: Planning application no: DC/2015/01143 Officers Report 12/11/2015]

From 1973: Thorntons, chocolate shop.

From 1967: Kelvin shoes, shoe shop.
