Other Information
During WW2, horses were brought back into use. When Mr Richards could not obtain a saddler, a Sikh from an Indian Regiment was allowed to work here as “war work”.
2025 April 29: A post on Mo Barber’s Facebook page informed customers that a letter had been received from Monmouthshire County Council stating that the [outside] sign needed to be changed ‘due to the LED lighting and the sign being too big and not fitting the look of Abergavenny’ [Source: Facebook 31 October 2025].
The illuminated sign has been removed and replaced with a temporary banner [Walk by 1 November 2025]
