1972 : Winifred’s Hat Shop (Abergavenny Chronicle)

From 21 April1970 to ??  : Trustee Savings Bank  (this Bank was later taken over by Lloyds).  At this time, the building was owned by Pearl Assurance.  Upstairs were the offices of Redifusion (television rental company)

To 1970 : Melias, Grocer

Other information

Bonmarche was founded in 1982 by Parkash Singh Chima on market stalls in Wiltex and Hartley.   In 2002, the company was taken over by Peacocks.  In 2012, Peacocks went into administration.  Bonmarche was then taken over by private investment company.   At present, there are 300+ stores in the UK and concessions (source bonmarche.co.uk)
